Over
the past Century each era has been both shaped and defined by the
prevailing musical influences of the time. It has always been an innovative and
passionate talent that has captured the spirit of the times. The same
holds true with versatile and talented new-comer, Italian Crooner, Franco
Corso.
Franco was born and raised in San Remo, Italy,
where he spent most of his childhood with his grandparents who taught him all
things Italian, from food to romance, art and literature. By the age of 8 he
was singing in the church choir and performing at private and public events
throughout Italy.
As a typical teen, Franco stopped
singing for awhile and studied in school. He went to University for
hospitality and upon graduation found himself working in the hotel
industry. A chance meeting led him to a job in the United States and
brought him to Palm Beach, Florida where he lives today. Once people
around him learned he could sing with that incredible and
provocative voice they encouraged him to do just that and only that. The
overwhelming and enthusiastic response from his audience convinced Franco that
the United States was the place to develop his career.
Inspired by Andrea Bocelli, Luciano Pavarotti, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Julio Iglesias and enthusiastically supported by his fan base and rave reviews, Franco has performed worldwide to sold-out Theatres, The Trump Organization in Palm Beach and for dignitaries and celebrities, such as Sophia Loren and Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi.
His debut Album
“Passione” is a collection of some of the world’s most famous romantic and
classic Italian-American songs. Songs like “Il Mio Mondo” (You’re My World) and
“Amore Scusami” (My Love Forgive Me) showcase Franco’s vocal range from soft
timbre to full bravado. The timeless classic “You Don’t Have To Say You Love
me” originally from Dusty Springfield adds an element of mainstream
sensibility. One of Franco’s most appealing qualities in his music is the ability to perform every song both in Italian and
English.
Whether singing accappella, backed by a band
or an orchestra, Franco believes in connecting with his audience.
Franco’s second album “Amore” is a great collection of love songs. Two of the
many standout songs included in the Album are the new versions of: “My Way” and
“You Raise Me Up”, both performed in Italian and English.
His newest Album “Italiano" is a remarkable collection of popular and
modern Italian songs. Timeless songs like: “Volare”, “Aldila’” will make you
fall in love with Italy again. Franco gives the most powerful and emotional
performance in ‘The Godfather” song. Also included in “Italiano” the new
remakes of “Quando, Quando, Quando” and Louie Primo’s Hit “Luna Mezzo Mare”
(“Lazy Mary”).
Franco is presently touring with his Show: "A Tribute to Andrea Bocelli
and Friends". Franco's great storytelling and emotional vocal skills takes
his audience on a musical trip through Italy, as he performs timeless classic
Italian-American songs from Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble and the
most popular songs from Andrea Bocelli. The Concert is enhanced with an On
Stage breathtaking aerial tour of Italy projected during his performance. Most
of his songs have intriguing transitions between Italian, English and Spanish,
making for a true and unique music experience.
Once fans listen to his three albums: “Passione”, “Amore” and “Italiano”, they
will realize they “can’t help falling in love” with Franco Corso.
Franco Corso transcends the trends and
is here to stay.
